COBRA Premium Assistance Extended

On Saturday, December 19, 2009 President Obama signed the “Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2010,” which amended some of the provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act concerning continuation coverage. We've developed a FAQ to assist our customers in answering their questions about the continuation portion of the Act. This FAQ will be revised as necessary to answer additional questions or as the federal government issues guidance on these issues.

New Year Brings New Name

SBA and RBA Are Now PacificSource Administrators, Inc.

As of January 1, 2010, Select Benefit Administrators, Inc. (SBA) and Riverside Benefit Administrators, Inc. (RBA) became PacificSource Administrators, Inc. As a result, there are a few other changes you should know about.

New ID cards

In late December, we issued new ID cards showing the new company name and logo. For some members, the cards also reflected new member ID numbers. Please begin using your new card and discard your old SBA or RBA card. Also, be sure to present your card the next time you receive healthcare services, so your providers can update their records.

New Web site

Our Web site address has changed to tpa.PacificSource.com. Please update any bookmarks you may have set. Through this site, you will continue to have access to InTouch, the member Web portal that allows you to look up coverage information, review family enrollment history, calculate expenses accumulated toward your plan’s deductibles, and more. Although this area of the Web site does not yet reflect our new name, the information provided is accurate for PacificSource Administrators customers. Watch for an updated InTouch site this spring.

New e-mail addresses

Phone numbers and addresses have not changed; however, PacificSource Administrators employee e-mail addresses have changed to @pacificsource.com. The first part of the address (first initial followed by last name) remains the same. Our sales and customer service e-mail addresses have changed to:

Sales/Marketing: asosales@pacificsource.com
Customer Service: asocustomerservice@pacificsource.com

Minimal change, maximum service

Other than what is noted above, you won’t see any differences as a result of this change. Our processes and services will remain the same. You’ll continue to work with the same people and can expect to receive friendly, helpful service under PacificSource Administrators.
